Videos: Greetings from area soldiers

Posted By admin on December 24, 2009

SWIowaNews.com is proud to present Holiday Greetings from American armed forces serving overseas. The video greetings to the community come from soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines, some joined by their families, and many more serving unaccompanied tours in forward-deployed and isolated regions of the world.

Holiday Greetings are provided by the Army & Air Force Hometown News Service in San Antonio, Texas. This is the 26th annual edition.

SWIowaNews.com would like to extend our thanks to our armed forces and their families at home and abroad this holiday season.

Local students to list ‘thanks’

The Daily Nonpareil published its first Thank You special section on Wednesday, Nov. 25. As we received more than 2,000 letters from students in the Council Bluffs Community Schools, St. Albert Schools, Lewis Central Schools and Iowa School for the Deaf, all letters couldn’t be published in the paper. However, all letters are included in the online version of the section, so click on the Thank You Special Section link to enjoy the letters!
